AI Games

AI Games are video games that use artificial intelligence to provide a more immersive gaming experience. This can include AI that acts as non-player characters that react to the player’s actions, AI that creates game environments that change dynamically and AI that generates autonomous opponents that adapt to the player’s skill level.Find out :

Some video games also make use of generative AI to help create more realistic looking characters and backgrounds. Using speech to generate body gestures, this type of AI can help to make NPCs in games more natural and less predictable.

Real-Time Strategy Games Powered by AI

One of the most popular uses for AI in video games is to make the game more realistic by creating NPCs or non-player characters that react to the players actions. This can add a lot of depth and complexity to the gameplay, which helps to keep gamers engaged.

Many of the NPCs in video games are controlled by AI algorithms, but some have become much more advanced. For example, NPCs in the popular Battlefield series of games are now able to look at objects and decide whether they are beneficial or detrimental to their survival. AI in these games can also check its health throughout the game, and further functions can be triggered when it reaches specific levels of health.

Not everyone is convinced that AI is a good idea for video games though. Josh Sawyer, a studio design director at Obsidian Entertainment, which has made narratively acclaimed titles like Pentiment and Fallout: New Vegas, isn’t sold on the concept of using AI in his games. He fears that it will only serve to minimise the work of creatives in the industry, rather than enable them.
