Wetpour Repair

The great thing about Wetpour Repair is that it is extremely easy to maintain once it has been installed. This is mainly down to the fact that it’s a rubber surfacing system which means if something goes wrong or a small crack appears then repairs can be completed very quickly and at a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire surface.

However, despite the fact that wet pour is considered maintenance-free, it still needs to be looked after properly in order to keep it looking good and in a safe condition. This will mean carrying out regular inspections of the playground to check for any issues that may arise.

Safety First: Ensuring ADA Compliance with Wetpour Repairs

A common issue that we see is the wetpour shrinking around the edges of the surface which creates a trip hazard and needs fixing as soon as possible. We can carry out a process called a band repair where the rubber is cut back to provide a suitable clean edge and then resurfaced typically in a different color to the original surfacing. This helps to create a nice design and make the surfacing look brand new.

It’s also important to remove any grass, weeds or leaves from the wetpour surface as they can clog up the pores and inhibit the self-draining properties of the surfacing system. If this happens then water will be unable to exit the surfacing correctly which can cause it to become flooded or saturated and eventually break down.
